Every year, the AIMS (Association of Indian Management Schools) administers the AIMS Test for Management Admissions (ATMA) exam for various PGDM programmes offered top management colleges in Bhubaneswar and countrywide. Every year the ATMA exam is conducted in total five times and the interested students can online apply for the ATMA exam.

What is AIMS?

The AIMS or Association of Indian Management Schools was founded in 1988 as a registered society. AIMS is a non-profit professional organisation that has grown into a powerful network of over 740 top management schools in the country, including ISB, IIMs, Xavier Institutes, MDI, ODM Business School, ICFAI, S P Jain, and NMIMS. AIMS is a consortium of various management institutes in the country that offer PGDM programmes.

What is the ATMA Exam?

The ATMA Exam is conducted by AIMS for PGDM admissions in different colleges across the country. The interested students are required to clear the ATMA test for getting admission to different PGDM courses across the country. Students who wish to take the ATMA exam must meet the ATMA eligibility requirements, which include passing scores on the qualifying exam and information about their educational background.

The ATMA is a national level entrance test that provides admission to the candidates into various PGDM courses according to the scores and rankings secured by the candidates. According to their ATMA rankings, candidates will be admitted to the best PGDM colleges in Bhubaneswar and other participating institutions. The ATMA is administered in both offline and online formats.

Qualification for the ATMA Exam

Applicants for the ATMA exam must have earned a bachelor’s degree in any field from a recognised university with a minimum of 50 percent overall grade point average. Those in their final year of a bachelor’s degree programme may also apply for the ATMA exam. The minimum age requirement for taking the ATMA exam is 21 years old.

Format for the ATMA Exam

The ATMA examination consists of two modes: online and offline. The ATMA examination will consist of 180 multiple-choice questions (MCQs) divided into six major sections:

· Analytical Reasoning Skills

· Quantitative Aptitude

· Verbal Ability

· Logical Reasons

· Data Interpretation

· English Comprehension

The online mode is conducted by AI and Human proctored home-based online exams. In offline mode, students are required to take the computer-based exam at the exam centres listed on their admit cards.

· The ATMA question paper has 180 questions that are broken into six sections:

· The total time given for the exam is three hours

· The online mode is administered by AI and a human proctor at home.

The offline mode or paper-based examination may be attempted in the computer-based examination at the respective exam centres listed on the admit cards.

The exam will consist of multiple-choice questions, and students must choose the correct response from four options.

Mode of Exam

Students taking the online ATMA exam must select “Online” mode when registering for the exam. After the fee has been paid, they will receive their unique username and password on their registered email ids and mobile numbers. Students who are interested in taking the ATMA offline exam must select the ‘Offline’ option when applying for the exam. The students should fill out the online application form accurately and retain the completed form for future reference. Students must pay their fees online and retain the receipt for future reference. After payment of fees, the students will receive their own username and password. Students should safeguard this to download their ATMA admission card. After finishing the application process, students can access the official website to download their admission cards.

Application procedure for ATMA Exam

The ATMA exam is conducted five times a year and the aspirants should apply for the ATMA exam online. Students must complete out the online form with accurate information and pay their fees online. Once the form is filled and the fees are paid the students are required to take the printout of the form and the fee receipt should be for future reference. The students will receive a unique username and password on their registered email and mobile number and this has to be carefully kept for future reference. After payment of fees, the students will receive their own login and password. This information is necessary to download an ATMA admissions card.
